We currently have an opportunity for a Credit Analyst II at our Louisville, Kentucky, office.

    Responsibilities

    Purpose of Role

    Responsible for assessing the credit risk and viability of a potential and existing customer as well as establishing their credit limit within established authorization limits.  Initiate collection calls to obtain delinquent accounts receivables and resolve customer disputes.

     

    Core Accountabilities

    • Analyze potential and existing customer’s financial data (i.e., financial statements, credit reports estimated sales and terms) to determine credit limit and approve credit limit within the established company delegation of authority, as appropriate; make recommendations for credit limits over limits of authority.
    • Review aging weekly and make collection calls; establish and maintain relationships with customers, while still achieving target DSO results.
    • Monitor customer payment patterns and recommend credit limit changes.
    • Research and resolve customer short payments and disputes by working with Customer Service and Sales Departments as needed.
    • Prepare, analyze and make recommendation for bad debt adjustments and reserve.
    • Monthly prepare accounts receivable report which includes aging, DSO and ADD by business unit, high risk customers and major customer aging. Lead monthly AR meeting with senior management.
    • Prepare accounts receivable borrowing base certificate report monthly.
    • Daily review customer shipments on hold and release as appropriate.
    • Establish new customers in system and maintain existing customers.
    • Participate in NACM or other credit industry group meetings.
    • Maintain and improve audit controls to ensure SOX compliance.
    • Support audit request.
    • Backup for cash application.

    3. Strong analytical skills and mathematical aptitude required. Ability to meet deadlines and set priorities.

    5. Problem solving skills and solution – oriented philosophy.
    6. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a team approach.
    7. Ability to analyze and interpret Financial Statements.
    8. Ability to work effectively with all levels of management to accomplish goals and objectives.
