Global Brass and Copper, Inc., is a leading, value-added converter, fabricator, distributor and processor of specialized copper and brass products in North America. We engage in metal melting and casting, rolling, drawing, extruding and stamping to fabricate finished and semi-finished alloy products from processed scrap, copper cathode and other refined metals. Our products include a wide range of sheet, strip, foil, rod, tube and fabricated metal component products that we sell under the Olin Brass, A.J. Oster and Chase Brass brand names. Our products are used in various end markets, including building and housing, munitions, automotive, transportation, coinage, electronics/electrical components, industrial machinery and equipment and general consumer end markets.


We are currently seeking a Benefits Analyst to join the growing corporate team in our Louisville, Kentucky, office.



Role Summary:

Under direction from the Benefits Manager, the Benefits Analyst supports benefit strategy by improving benefit service standards and increasing the perceived value of benefits by employees.

Core Accountabilities:

  • Ensures effective benefits enrollment and reporting, oversees ongoing benefits enrollment via employee self-service, manages the dependent verification process, responds to inquiry and adjustment requests from benefit carriers and coordinates COBRA administration.
  • Maintains employee confidence by keeping benefit information confidential.
  • Assists with implementation of corporate benefit programs, policies and standard operating procedures
  • Administers the planning, promotion, delivery and evaluation of the wellness incentive and reward corporate program; leads wellness champions.
  • Ensures compliance with benefit regulations and maintains up-to-date knowledge of healthcare reform.
  • Supports communication efforts related to benefit policies, practices and the overall value of benefits to employees.
  • Evaluates requests from vendors, carriers, employees and HR partners; researches and responds appropriately.
  • Maintains accurate benefit cost information; reviews and prepares benefit payment request; tracks paid benefit expenses.



  1. Bachelor's Degree;
  2. 3-5 years’ progressive work experience in the Benefits field preferred;
  3. Corporate wellness program experience a plus;
  4. Prior experience maintaining vendor relationships;
  5. Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented;
  6. Strong execution skills and problem solving skills;
  7. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills;
  8. Proficient PC skills in MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel;
  9. Willing to travel 15-20% throughout the year and extensively from September – November during Open Enrollment period.
